Abstract
Tax is one of the country's biggest income. But in reality state revenues from the tax sector are not optimal. This is because the level of public awareness is lacking in their obligations in paying taxes. For this reason, the government cooperates with the tax authorities to make various ways to increase the level of public awareness on the importance of paying taxes for the welfare of the state and society as well. The methods carried out by the tax authorities include conducting education, socialization and providing an understanding of taxation to the public regarding taxation. The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of education, socialization and understanding of taxation on the level of public awareness in paying taxes as citizens. In addition, it also raises a sense of awareness of taxes to people who are at an early age to understand tax. The research method used in this study is to use the method of multiple linear regression analysis. The sample used was STIE Malangkucecwara students in accounting department in the year 2015. The results of this study stated that the three independent variables used were taxation education, tax socialization and understanding of taxation had an influence on taxpayer awareness.18.221.165.246
